About Ashmore Building

Ashmore Buildings was founded by William and Sam, two experienced tradesmen who met in 2014 and shared a belief that construction should be built on quality, honesty and clear communication. Frustrated by an industry that often prioritised speed over care, they set out to deliver homes they could be proud of, with craftsmanship and customer trust at the heart of every project.

I can't rate these guys highly enough. They've now done 3 major projects for us over the last 3 years, including a large outbuilding with some tricky requirements for foundations and noise insulation.
Most important to me is how they project manage and handle changes. All our work needed initial … More investigation and problem solving, they were not easy projects. (Like repairing floor joists in a 200-year-old part of our house).
Everyone on the team is professional, communicative, and careful. I was kept well informed about potential risks, and changes to the plan were carefully discussed at all times. (As a bonus, everyone is super friendly, and my 4 year old son loves chatting to them whenever they are here).
I now call William and give them first refusal on any works to our house, big or small, because I can be confident of the outcome. And I've referred them to friends and family for the same.

Ashmore Building Company not only did an outstanding job, but made the whole process easy. They really understood our brief, adding their experience and vision to exceed our expectations. The renovation of our annexe was completed to a very high standard, on time and on budget!

Will & Sam have been working across numerous internal and external refurb projects at my listed property for the last 12 months. From minor fixes to major modernistaion projects, the quality of their workmanship lies in their attention to detail and a desire for the best possible outcome.
Two genuinely … More decent men whom I trust completely within my home.

Ashmore Building Company did an outstanding job in turning my renovation dream into a reality. Having purchased a quirky timber framed building I felt fortunate to find Sam and Will to work on the build. They tackled each challenge with creativity and positivity, communicating clearly throughout. I couldn’t … More be happier with the results! Thank-you.

Ashmore are proud winners of ‘Best Home Renovations Company 2026 – Devon’
